Installation Instructions
The version 8 zipped setup.exe files contain TextPad, with the English user interface, plus one other language, and a dictionary for the spell checker, as shown in the tables. If the online help is not available in a given language, it is supplied in English. For your security, all executable files are digitally signed.
After you have downloaded the zip file, extract the EXE file, run it and follow the instructions.
Note
- It is not advisable to install both the 32 and 64-bit editions on the same computer.
- When upgrading from the previous major release (eg. 8 to 9), the installation process will try to preserve your current TextPad settings.
Minimum Requirements
- TextPad 7 runs on the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, and on Server 2003, 2008 and 2012.
