You are welcome to download a copy of TextPad for evaluation, or to upgrade from an earlier release. Upgrades from version 8 to 9 are free. There is no charge for the download, but you must pay for the software if you decide to keep it. A single user license costs only £16.50 GBP, $27 USD or €19.

The installation package that you download from here does not contain any adware, marketing toolbars, or other "nuisance" software not associated with the products described on this page. No information from your installation or use of TextPad is shared with us.

Minimum Requirements

• TextPad 9 runs on the Intel/AMD and ARM 64-bit editions of Windows 10 and 11, and on Server 2016 to 2022.
• TextPad 8 runs on the Intel/AMD 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and 11, and on Server 2008 to 2022.
• WildEdit runs on the Intel/AMD 32-bit and 64-bit editions of XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8.1, 10 and 11, Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 and on the ARM64 edition of Windows 11. The redistributable for Visual Studio 2015-2022 is required and will be automatically downloaded, if not already installed.
